YAY!

YAY!

I love me some Paul Pierce.

Ew.

I missed this last night because the Celtics have been making me so ill lately that I have to frequently change the channel to avoid throwing the remote straight through the television set.

I love you Paul Pierce, but ew.

Now, you know I love Boston fans. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again that they’re some of the smartest, most passionate fans in the game. But come on now, where is the love for No. 34? I do have to call you guys out for voting for Ray over me on my survey last week – but I guess it’s cool as long as I’m losing votes to a teammate. But I got my eye on you now, so you know. We’re gonna need you to focus your energy for us down the season stretch run and into the playoffs, so time to step up your game.

Paul Pierce has his eye on you, all you Ray choosers! ;) #TeamPierce

Lookin’ good!

I freakin love me some Paul Pierce.

In the weeks since calling out Allen for the 3-point competition, Pierce has combined trash talk and trickery, because, well, an opponent is an opponent.

His latest, and probably greatest, ploy came Wednesday night during Allen’s pregame shooting routine. Allen was at the far end, getting shots up, when Pierce had someone roll out the basketball racks, launching practice threes, then staring Allen down from afar.

This article has some health updates. Looks like good news on everyone but Shaq (he’s not healing; he’s older than hell) and Marquis (won’t be back any time soon). On page two, this paragraph made me giggle:

Rivers on Rondo’s attempt to edge into a Miami oncourt huddle: “I didn’t like the huddle thing, honestly, I don’t think we ever need to do that stuff. The point he was making, it wasn’t a timeout — his basketball IQ is so good that he’s the only one who realized that. Even Miami was acting like he couldn’t be in the [huddle during a] timeout — it wasn’t a timeout.”

Haha. It was not a timeout… ergo, Rondo can pop into your huddle ya big dummies.

I know the coach in the All-Star Game — he probably won’t play a lot in that game.
Doc Rivers (on Paul Pierce and uh, himself)
Record or no record, he’s gonna have to face the defending champ (me) and then really show everyone what he’s got from beyond the arc.

Paul Pierce on Ray Allen

Bahaha. Gotta love The Truth trash talking the record breaker. ;)
