On last night’s Inside the NBA… this. happened.

Just in case that cell picture of the TV I posted on Twitter wasn’t enough, here’s the video of Mickael Pietrus gettin’ his goofy bastard on. ;)

Please to enjoy… Gavin Maloof celebrates like Tarzan last night.

ps. This was supposed to be a GIF, but my software isn’t cooperating.

I know what I’ll be doing tonight!

I love everything Woj writes about the NBA, so I’m pretty biased. But, I couldn’t agree more with his take on the new ref rule.

David Stern tosses out some vague claim of market research to demand of his players what the commissioner has never demanded of himself: a control of his temper, the grace to react instantly to the incompetence of his officials with a robotic restraint.

And I swear it isn’t just because I’m a Celtics fan and we’re the least restrained team in the league right now. I think the rule is bullshit for the same reason that I think the ban on end zone celebrations in the NFL is bullshit. These professional leagues are businesses that are largely about entertainment. Banning players from expressing their emotions is counter-productive to putting on a good show.

*sigh*

All I know is the the day Kevin Garnett gets whistled for a call he doesn’t agree with and turns to the referee and says, “Oh pardon me, good sir. I respectfully disagree with your assertion that I fouled just now” will be the day that I turn the F-ing channel.

Put that in your pipe and smoke it, Stern.

It’s not like I didn’t know what to do with the rest of my life, but I never found anything outside of basketball that I really liked. I used to think that life was unfair, but I realize now things happen for a reason.

In this article for The Basketball Jones, Holly MacKenzie shares her reasons for rooting for the game of basketball rather than one particular team.

When some of you cringe because I’m all over the place with my loyalties just know that my loyalty lies with the game. Players come, players go, players thrill and disappoint, but the game? The game is always there.
