For every Joakim Noah, Charlie Villanueva and Dwight Howard; for every kid who grew up idolizing the Celtics star, only to become disenchanted after meeting him face-to-sweaty face, there’s a young pro who still sees Garnett as the player they’d one day like to be; who doesn’t take his affronts as a sign of disrespect, but more a means for victory; who doesn’t care so much about KG the bully as much as they do KG the teammate or KG the NBA champ.
You separate the trash talk, especially from guys that you know like KG and Paul and those guys. We’ve known each other for a while. I love to talk. Paul likes to talk. KG likes to talk. I’m probably the only one on my team that likes to talk. So I’ll probably be jawing with all of them tonight.

Bill Walton was awesome last night. Loved having him do the commentary. I love Tommy too, but it was fun having another perspective and I always enjoy listening to Walton talk about the game. Here’s a clip from last night where he comments on K.G.’s stanchion routine. Good times.
