Not sure who’ll win the 2011 NBA championship, but the Boston Celtics...

Amen to that.

It’s fun to watch people during the national anthem. JO is suitably patriotic (or just catching a quick pre-game nap), Shaq is inexplicably giving someone the death glare and Rondo & Paul are talking in class.

I like the Spurs season opener intro even though it starts out like an Eminem video that turns into a commercial for a monster truck rally. The player intros still have a no-nonsense quality to them that I think is fitting.

Ok, one more season opener intro. Nobody is as festive as New Orleans. I love that about them.

Even though he shot t-shirt bullets at KG last year a couple years ago, I still love Benny the bull, the Chicago Bulls mascot. I love that they let him join the team huddle.

Celtics intro from the season opener vs. the Heat. The giant foam hands on the new Lucky kind of crack me up. Anyway, I think our opening is a million times cooler than the Heat’s season opener intro… I might be a little biased though. ;)

Fighting through some early problems →
Interesting article. This paragraph jumped out at me in particular:
O’Neal said pointedly he was the lone player West respected in the Cavaliers’ locker room last season, and he is one of the veterans who promised team president Danny Ainge he would watch over the troubled guard. He said he had a stern conversation with West following the fight.
So you’re saying Delonte didn’t...

Ouch. Vince Carter just got mugged.
ps. I’m watching the Celtics too, but Heat/Magic is in HD. pps. Shortly after I posted this, LeBron James mugged my boy J.J. Redick. The Heat are systematically trying to take out all of Orlando’s shooting guards. ;)

In case you missed the Miami Heat intro, here it is. Be sure to pay special attention to the Jumbotron. It looks like a parody, but isn’t… ;)

Wafer denies West incident →
I’m assuming Danny & Doc told Wafer to keep his piehole shut, but it’s curious that he’d go to the extreme of denying that it even happened.
This part of the article cracked me up for some reason:
A short time after the reporters had left, Shaquille O’Neal — in a silent showing of support — walked up to Wafer and nudged him on the cheek.

Ainge: We’re not releasing Delonte →
Interesting comments from Ainge:
Whoever wrote the story had something to get Delonte. That’s for sure. There’s some untruths in that story.

Good Thing Brett Favre Isn't a Nike Endorser →
Nike’s newest ad celebrates LeBron’s selfishness to the point of apotheosis.
I want to throw a brick through the TV every time this commercial airs.

Jeanie Buss: “I couldn’t say no to Justin Bieber.” So, apparently there’s a little mop-top who looks like an adolescent Tom Brady running around Staples with Phil Jackson’s ring.
